Default Shenango River ICE BREAKER PADDLE

ICE BREAKER UPDATE: CHANGED TO SATURDAY

Do to the forecast of rain and thunderstorms on Sunday I am changing the trip to SATURDAY AT 10:00AM. The forecast is warm on Saturday with only a slight chance of rain.

Come out and enjoy TCT Fifty Year Anniversary paddling season. I have been with the club for 34 years and celebrating the anniversary by recently purchasing a used canoe with help from Dustin of Noel Canoes. Just like the model that got me started paddling and camping. So if you have a new boat like Brian and I, want to try out that new piece of gear or just have cabin fever come on out. Please email or post if you are coming. See you on the water. jbozdog@yahoo.com

I'm cautiously optimistic about attending; watching the weather. Also, for what it's worth, there is supposed to be a new take-out in the city, where Washington Street crosses the river.

Default New launch in New Castle

There is a new launch there. Personally, I am disappointed in it. It is paved, there is parking. However the parking is a ways from the launch and there is no drop off point. The launch is quite steep. But I know we can deal with it. We regularly use a lot worse sites.
