Drill Time
This is a terrific instructional video. While it is geared to the whitewater open boater, the paddlers emphasize practice, practice, practice on flat water. It's well worth watching over and over. A line near the end of the script says "You become a great boater by working the basics on flat water." Enjoy!

Looking forward to seeing JP demonstrate some of these strokes and maneuvers on whitewater in 2021.

HAH! I should be able to bang the blade on the side of the boat, lose the grip on the paddle and have it hit me in the chin.

They are all exceptional paddlers, but also keep in mind that they are in boats that turn on a dime.
