We will also have a box of Veggie Burger's for anyone who would like to have them.
I know I am going to try one myself. Mike

Joining the club
Hey guys, we see you are having your picnic and a paddle trip planned tomorrow. Is it a members only day? A few of us were thinking of coming and joining and going for the trip. But did not want to intrude if it was members only. Thanks! Jim

Another great TCT picnic and paddle and the picnic after.
Pictures are uploaded on club site and Facebook page. Sorry we don't know all the newer members names to go with the photos. |

Club Picnic Review
A great Day to have a Picnic.
Total of 51 showed up to relax, enjoy a good meal and great company. We were able to finish the TCT schedule. After that we enjoyed a great paddle down the Mahoning. I know the put-in is a rougher one with the portage to it and the narrow path down to the river. I tried to widened the best I could can dug in steps to help out. Once by the water it is a great and easy put-in. 34 boats made the trip from Canoe City down to Packard Park. Bob K was nice enough to point out the 31 Kayaks, 1 two man Kayak and 2 canoes. Looked like everyone had fun at Lovers Lane Rapid (Class I Rapid). For many new members this was there first rapid. They all made it through with no trouble. Remember keep paddling. Many of us saw turtles, Bald Eagles and there Nest. Also signs of the river otters by the old Copperweld steel mill. Nice easy take out at Packard made for a great day. During the Shuttle many of us became really good friends thanks to Rich Allans 8ft pick up truck, while the ladies rode up front with the A/C. We had 4 other kayakers do a up and back from Canoe City up to Eagle Creek and back. After the Paddle 12 of us met back up at Canoe City and eat left overs and just sat back and relaxed and got to know some newer members and catch up with some old friends. We all packed up and left about 7pm and headed home A Great day and thanks to all who showed up. Mike Danko

More photos added.
A fun day. Good food. A nice paddle.
This was the first time on this section for K & C. I enjoyed a bit of surfing. I added a few more photos. KenM TCT__01.jpg |
