Community Outing Club
Carried away outfitters from Greenville Pa has a community outing club they have started. This club is trying to organize people to get out in the great outdoors. They have a paddle planned for this Sunday October 4th. Garrett Newton will be leading. (724-854-9141) The trip is planned for French Creek. The section they plan to do is Shaw’s Landing to Cochranton. Meeting time at Shaw’s will be 11:30 with a stop along the River. I will post more details as they come or call Gary.

On to Carlton
As I said Gary is leading a group tomorrow from Carlton to Cochranton which is a 4 mile trip. I plan to extend my paddle to Carlton which would make it a 7.5 mile paddle. 11:30 at Shaw’s landing. Thanks Dustin 724-301-4751

Thanks.
What a nice day. We had 17 paddlers and 2 k9 in 12 boats for the first 4 miles. (9 kayaks and 3 canoes. After stopping at the Cochranton Fair grounds for a quick snack all the kayakers exited river left. From there the 3 canoes with 8 paddlers and a K9 went the other 4 miles to Carlton. Water level was a little low on the second half but a beautiful paddle was had by all. Thanks to everyone who came out.
