Upper Cuyahoga
I've paddled that section of the Upper Cuyahoga a number of times. The two times I've done up to Snow Lake the water level was at least 4'. However, at current levels, you can paddle upstream from Eldon Russel Park up the East Branch. In some areas it will be high enough to paddle "in the woods". Last year there was one beaver dam that we had to carry around going upriver, but we were able to go over it coming back down.

Chuck and I did the Grand trip as planned. Water on bridge gauge was 6". current was swift. Waves were big and fun! Took us approx. an hour and a half to do the entire trip. No issues with the water besides it was moving fast! We did not have to do much paddling, mainly just steering.
Looking forward to some whitewater this coming weekend! |
