River Fest 2015
River Fest ?Mahoning River- B & O Station, Trip Leader Mike Danko, Friends of the Mahoning
When- Saturday June 6th Where- 530 Mahoning Ave Youngstown, OH 44512 GPS 41.102535,-80.657715 Time ? 12-5pm 2015 with be the fourth year for River Fest presented by Friends of the Mahoning River. This will be TCT third year in helping. River Fest is an opportunity for the public to come and learn about the Mahoning River. Friends of the Mahoning will have several vendor that offer displays about the environment and affect of the river. River history and hopes for the future displays. They also will have events for Kids and bounce around and slides for kids. TCT will again offer Canoe rides and Kayak demos. The past two years this has been a huge success and a chance for TCT continue the goals of our founding members. That is promoting the use of the Mahoning River for recreational use. What we need to makes the third year a successful one is We need volunteers to help, and it makes a good showing Volunteers -Thank you to All who has emailed me and will be there Saturday We will have a great showing! I found this works best on how to run this.- 1-Mr. or Mrs. Public comes to tent, wants a ride or to paddle. They fill out our waiver. Receive a Ticket. 2- Get fitted with life vest 3- Gives ticket to TCT member on the Dock or the Canoeist or Kayaker. (This lets us know they signed our waiver that helps protect us) 4-Go for a ride or paddle and enjoy J Thank you again for all your help!!! |

Non stop paddling!
What a day! 198 canoe/kayak rides! Pretty much five hours of non stop paddling except to take on or drop off our riders. Great club turnout as well with everyone pitching in to help. We will all sleep well tonight.
