Any alternatives in mind? Maybe lakes we don't usually paddle. Newport should be up. We haven't paddled Bessemer City Lake.

I would suggest counting by paddle blades or total paddle length.. After all us double dippers have to suffer long shafts and multiple blades all day.

Still looking forward to this trip. It's been years since Tom, Larry and I did this one. Its 3.57 and rising now. I don't remember the level but it was definitely below 4 ft. We'll see how...

Well I'm planning to be there. It's a flatwater paddle on a small enclosed lake. Guess we'll just see who shows up. Long as at least two of us get there we can paddle reasonably safely.
